Bollywood celebrates as Katrina Kaif and Vicky Kaushal welcome first child
The duo shares heartfelt announcement, thanking fans for love and blessings
DUBAI – The Bollywood fraternity is celebrating as one of its most loved couples, Katrina Kaif and Vicky Kaushal, announced the birth of their first child – a baby boy.
The couple shared the heartwarming news on Instagram on Friday, writing, “Our bundle of joy has arrived. With immense love and gratitude, we welcome our baby boy.”
Vicky Kaushal revealed in his post that both mother and baby are doing well.
The post immediately set social media abuzz, with fans and fellow celebrities flooding the couple’s profiles with messages of love, blessings and excitement.
Sonam Kapoor Ahuja commented, “Amazing, both of you. All my love.” Kiara Advani shared her joy with “Heartiest congratulations, mama and papa! #Classof2025,” while Priyanka Chopra wrote, “Sooooo happy! Congratulations.” Kareena Kapoor Khan, meanwhile, welcomed Katrina to what she fondly called the “boy mamma club,” expressing, “So happy for you and Vicky.”
Madhuri Dixit also sent her blessings, saying, “Congratulations to both of you! Sending love to the little one,” while Parineeti Chopra, who recently became a mother herself, commented, “Congratssssssss new mamma and papa!”
Rajkummar Rao added his own message, noting, “Heartiest congratulations @vickykaushal09 and @katrinakaif. This is the most beautiful feeling. God bless you and the little one.”
From wedding bells to parenthood
Katrina Kaif and Vicky Kaushal tied the knot in an intimate ceremony at Rajasthan’s Six Senses Fort Barwara on 9th December 2021. Their relationship had remained largely private before marriage, but the couple frequently shared glimpses of their happy moments afterwards.
On 15th September 2025, they took to Instagram to reveal their pregnancy with a tender photo of Vicky cradling Katrina’s baby bump. Their caption read, “On our way to start the best chapter of our lives with hearts full of joy and gratitude.”
Katrina Kaif has often spoken about her childhood and her hope to give her children the family structure she once longed for, saying she wishes to provide them with a home full of “love, stability, and both parents’ presence.”
The couple now joins a growing list of Bollywood stars embracing parenthood in 2025, including Kiara Advani and Sidharth Malhotra.
On the work front, Vicky Kaushal was last seen in the blockbuster Chhaava and is currently filming Love & War alongside Alia Bhatt and Ranbir Kapoor. Katrina Kaif’s most recent appearance was in Merry Christmas, co-starring Vijay Sethupathi.
